ACL’s Yahoo! Mobile IM solution has been built in close collaboration with Yahoo! Inc. and is an engrossing reproduction of the immensely popular Yahoo! Messenger, on the mobile.  The application can be accessed via a downloadable / pre-loaded J2ME or Brew client.

The application optimizes space available on the mobile screen by allowing user to have multiple conversations at the same time. Intuitive tabbed browsing enables user to switch between conversations at the click of a button.  Sound alerts and new message icons alert user of real-time activity across contacts.

 
Technology

The service runs on ACL’s highly robust and scalable OMA IMPS (WV CSP 1.2 complaint) server. ACL’s platform is hosted in the state-of-the-art data centre with 99.9% uptime. The easily downloadable client of less that 120 kb has been adapted to multiple mobile networks and connectivity protocols. It is compatible with over 200 devices (J2ME MIDP 2.0 & Brew 2.0) of popular handset brands like Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, LG, Sony Ericsson amongst others.

Service Delivery and Management

ACL’s service delivery team ensures quick integration with the operator mobile networks within few weeks post availability of SMS push connectivity and MSISDN forwarding. Localization in most languages is also possible if required. Carriers can closely track and analyze consumer usage patterns in real time by through ACL’s consumer usage data tools.
