Bangkok, Thailand, August 25, 2005

Continuing with its strategy of offering an array of services to fit the consumer's lifestyle, AIS has reinforced its leadership in the Thai market with the success of the recently launched instant messaging and chat service.

In May 2005 AIS launched ACL's IM powered Mobile Community solution on its Lifestyle WAP portal ‘Mobile Life'. Packed with popular features such as people search, chat-rooms, and interoperability with PC-based messengers, presence based buddy list, avatars & emoticons, amongst others, the service is available via GPRS to all users on the AIS network across Thailand .

“IM & Chat applications are basic but also a “must have” to all mobile operators. With knowledge and expertise in this space of ACL, AIS has achieved another success since we launched the service. We are also looking forward to co-develop a roadmap down the road with ACL to make sure that best chat application is delivered to our end-users.” Said Tanapat Chatupornpark, AIS's Strategic Specialist and WAP Portal manager.

Talking about the success Sanjay Goyal, CEO ACL Wireless said, “The success of our IM powered Mobile Community solution on AIS once again reinforces the company's vision of building a successful community building service for operators which works across geographies. ACL has already demonstrated similar success on leading mobile networks across the Middle East, Latin America, and India across multiple access mediums. Based our experience and expertise of various successful deployments in 18 countries around the world, we have been able to provide WAP users on AIS, a unique instant messaging & social networking experience.
