Atanu Mandal joins ACL Wireless as President & COO

New Delhi, India, February 9, 2004 - ACL Wireless, leading provider of unique, consumer-centric, wireless instant messaging based services to mobile operators & service providers, today announced the appointment of Atanu Mandal, former CEO Cellnext Solutions, as President & COO with a seat on its Board of Directors.

Atanu is a seasoned high-tech executive with several years of experience in the telecommunications arena. He instituted India's first Mobile ASP & Solution Provider - Cellnext, funded by the Escorts Group. He has served as the Managing Director & CEO of Cellnext since its inception in June 2000. Prior to this, he held key positions at multinational telecom service providers like Telstra and Swisscom. Atanu graduated in Electrical Engineering from IIT-Delhi and MBA from IIM-Ahmedabad.

A 36-year veteran technologist and business leader, Atanu will provide strategic leadership for ACL's new product initiatives, and business expansion plans in India/South Asia and the Middle East. ACL has identified South Asia, China, Asia Pacific and Middle East as its four primary regions where it plans to focus in 2004. It is in the process of opening new offices in China and Middle East within the next two months. It is also in the process of setting up an "India SBU" to give a major push to its Service Operations in India so as to increase WIM awareness, usage and revenues in the country.
