ACL WIM 2.0 supports wireless village specifications and makes inter-operator messenger a reality

New Delhi, July 8, 2002: ACL Wireless Limited, Asia's leading provider of wireless instant messaging & presence application to mobile operators, today announced release of version 2.0 of its flagship product ACL Wireless instant messenger and presence application.

From its earlier version of ACL WIM 1.61, this version is a major upgrade in terms of underneath software technology, usability and expanse of features for a mobile phone user. ACL WIM version 2.0 is now available to multiple mobile devices including SMS client, SIM Browser client, WIB based clients or Internet connected devices. It conforms to wireless village specifications, thereby making inter-operator messenger interoperability a reality and it complies with GPRS specifications. Further, it enables users to exchange text and multimedia messages in real time with their friends, create their personal friends lists, manage their presence and identify their friend's presence on the network.
