Overview

ACL pioneered Bulk Messaging Services in 2004 in India. It currently manages over 3 billion messages per annum. The bulk SMS service enables enterprises to broadcast, track and analyze bulk SMS’ to their customers for updates, transaction alerts, marketing and customer care. ACL has deep specialization across various enterprise domains like Banking & Finance, Media, Travel & Hospitality, Health Care, Real Estate, Insurance & Stock broking, FMCG & Consumer Durable, Courier & Logistics, Online Portals, amongst others.

The system comprises of a highly robust and scalable platform, fully managed by ACL. State of the art desktop tools are provided for sending SMS broadcasts, event based alerts, consumer messaging, traffic analysis and administration of the platform.

Tools

SMS Broadcast Tool

The SMS Broadcast tool is available as an installable and web-based client and allows instant broadcast or scheduling for a future date. The tool supports one message to multiple recipients and multiple messages to multiple recipients and enables enterprises to:

  1. Manage Groups
    • Create groups from MS Excel, CSV file, Text file or directly from database tables
    • Upload 300,000 recipients in one group
  2. Manage Broadcast
    • Quick Broadcast allows sending broadcasts to multiple groups in one go
    • Mini Broadcast allows recipients to be added manually
  3. Manage Templates to create and modify different messages to be associated with different broadcasts

The tool also allows different levels of users to be created to ease the process of sending and moderating messages through its Maker Checker. The facility follows two levels - Moderator who creates the message broadcasts and Administrator who approves all message broadcasts.

IntelliALERT

IntelliALERT is a sophisticated Alert system that enables enterprises to send alerts or notifications to their customers diligently. The system allows an enterprise to create rules based on either conditions or occurrences that can trigger alerts. Alerts can be scheduled on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and the frequency of the alerts can also be managed by the enterprise.

The system connects through various internal performance and optimization tools which generate real-time alerts meant for internal audiences like SAP, CRM or similar intranets. It can also integrate with critical switch monitoring tools to send real-time messages in the event of any failures or similar issues.
The IntelliAlert tool also allows enterprises to:

  • Manage multiple database Connections
  • Manage DB Queries: Allows to define a DB query to extract desired data from a database which can be used in any pre-defined template of an alert
  • Manage Templates: Allows to create and modify different messages to be associated with different alerts
  • Manage Alerts: Allows to use the data extracted from the DB queries in pre-defined templates and send different event based alerts

Enterprise/Consumer Messaging Tool(MOBICAST)

Mobicast enables enterprises/consumers to send personalized bulk messages. The system supports various messaging types like Multilingual messaging, Group Messaging and Template Messaging which can be personalized by:

  • Language
  • Layout and themes
  • Incorporating logo, banners
  • Change website address
  • Create customized Home, contact us and help pages

The system connects through various internal performance and optimization tools via several APIs like HTTP/S using XML on SAP, CRM and similar intranets. It can also integrate with critical switch monitoring tools to send real-time messages in the event of any failures or similar issues.

Enterprises using Mobicast can send bulk messages through:

  • Easy-to-use web based interface
  • Excel Plug-in enables the consumers to send sms directly from MS EXCEL
  • Outlook Plug-in enables the customers to send messages to their outlook contacts directly from outlook

Mobicast allows enterprises/consumers to manage their own pricing for selling bulk messages and can purchase messages either online or offline

  • Offline mode:  Cheque/Drafts
  • Online mode: Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Account Transfer
  • On-the-fly sender name requests and approvals

Technology

The service operates on a secure platform with HTTPS, Password authentication and Audit trail with subscriber management facilities, including Specific Region Barring. The platform is extremely scalable and supports multiple connectivity protocols. The core platform enables Real-time Load distribution, priority based routing and auto SMSC failover support. With real-time billing, it supports billing per message.

Centered on convenience, flexibility, and seamless integration of messaging services and data access, the platform can manage high peak-loads.
