Fiorano Powers ACL's Wireless IM by Bob Woods

Los Gatos, Calif.-based software developer Fiorano Software said that Asia Cybernet Limited (ACL) selected FioranoMQ as the core communications layer to power ACL's Wireless Internet Messenger (WIM).

ACL WIM relies on FioranoMQ to ensure that mobile subscribers get ubiquitous access to their instant messenger service, officials said.

FioranoMQ is "a proven solution for building messaging applications that are reliable and flexible," Fiorano said in a statement. As an event-based communications platform, FioranoMQ enables ACL to build an integrated, loosely- coupled, WIM application for mobile operators.

Atul Saini, president and chief executive officer (CEO), said in a statement, "The ACL WIM solution is an excellent example of the next generation of mobile Internet applications. These applications are poised for rapid adoption in the market."

ACL is a supplier of wireless IM systems development infrastructure that allows cellular phone users to connect to instant-messaging networks.
